STRAWBERRY FEELS "FOREVER"
LUSH (massage bar)

Strawberry Feels Forever was one of LUSH’s much loved massage bars, but was recently discontinued in Europe. It is still available trough the NA website. I’m still bummed they don’t sell them anymore here, and seeing I only have half a bar left.. I’ll treasure it until it’ll return for Retro.

Price:  $9.95 in North-America. (for a big 2.6 oz. bar!)
Ingredients: Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Fair Trade Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Fresh Strawberries (Fragaria vesca), Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Glycerine, Perfume, Hibiscus Extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa), Olibanum Oil (Boswellia carterii), Bergamot Oil (Citrus Aurantium bergamia), Geranium Oil (Pelargonium graveolens), *Benzyl Alcohol, *Citronellol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 73360 - VEGAN
What LUSH says: "Picture yourself in a boat on the river on a warm spring day. Suddenly somebody’s there with a massage bar, the masseuse with incredible hands. Strawberry Feels melts into the heat of your body, gliding along, moisturizing the skin and releasing the fresh, fragrant scent of yummy strawberries, hibiscus flower and coconut oil. It’s perfect for a morning or afternoon massage, and wonderful as a solid body moisturizer when you get out of the shower or bath."
Scent: SWEET. Seriously sweet. But a very true strawberries-and-cream kind of scent, not like the chemical strawberry scents you’ll get from candy or kids’ perfumes. I don’t mind sweet scents, but it’s something you’ll either love or hate.

Greasy: A little. On my own skin, the oils soak in rather quickly – but my skin is super dry. When I use it on my husband, it takes ages for it to soak in just a little..  it all depends on your skin type.
How to use: Take the bar (or a piece of it) in your hands to make it melt a little, and rub the oils into your skin – or give someone an amazing massage with them. (As lovely as that sounds, I usually will use massage bars as a lotion)

Who should try this: Anyone who loved Yummy Yummy Yummy showel gel by LUSH, loves sweet, girly scents or wants to feel like a princess for a day. Or just give one to your little sister.

HAPPY HIPPY
LUSH
(shower gel)

One of my favorite year-round LUSH products is Happy Hippy shower gel. I own quite a few, but this still is the one I reach for the most.

Price: available in three sizes, starting from the small 100 gram bottle (see pictures) at £3.15, a slightly bigger 250 gram bottle at £5.95 (see pictures) and the big 500 gram bottle at £10.95 (not pictured).
Ingredients: Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Fresh Pink Grapefruit Juice (Citrus grandis), Grapefruit Water (Citrus grandis, Aqua), Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Grapefruit Oil (Citrus grandis), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Frankincense Oil (Boswellia carterii), Lactic Acid, Cocamide DEA, *Limonene, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. * Occurs naturally in essential oils - VEGAN
What LUSH says: "Our grapefruit shower gel is one of our happiest shower gels: a magic potion to make the even the office seem inviting on Monday mornings. A perfect way to start the day, Happy Hippy remains one of our best-sellers because it smells absolutely delicious, bursting with fresh, juicy organic pink grapefruits to cleanse away grime, refresh your skin, and make you feel brighter all over. Plus, it’s full of zippy citrus oils, grapefruit and bergamot oils to work on tired minds for a double dose of Vitamin C."
Scent: Straight up fresh, organic Pink Grapefruits, mildly sugary. The bergamot oil and frankincense oil make it super zingy, but still very rounded and just a tad less sharp. The scent is one of the stronger LUSH makes, and great for early mornings, as It'll wake you up for sure. Very bright and citrussy, without smelling like dishwashing fluid, and will linger on your skin for a bit.

Consistency: One of the thicker showel gels I've tried, certainly thicker than most generic store-brand gels - more like the thickness of a hairgell, minus the stickyness. Nice and gloopy.
Bubbles: I always use a shower puff, regardless of if I'm using a gell or jelly, and it takes very little effort to get Happy Hippy to foam up. The foam itself is suprisingly soft and doesnt dissolve quickly. Another thing that this showel gel suprised me with, is that it's actually a bit moisturizing - not something you'd expect of a citrus-scented product.

Long-lasting:
Yes! A tiny drop will go a long way, as with most LUSH products, and a small 100 gram bottle will last me about 3 months of constant use.
As a shampoo: Most LUSH shower gels can double as a shampoo, the same is said about Happy Hippy. I have colour-treated hair that gets super dry at times, and sadly Happy Hippy isnt moisturising enough for my hair. It will get your locks nice and clean, if you don't need that bit of extra moisture.

Who should try this: Obviously anyone that loves things citrussy, fruity or sweet. But the scent is great for those mornings where you have a hard time getting out of bed, hangovers or just when you're looking for a nice, summery scent - Happy Hippy might just be the shower gel for you!

Welcome on my little blog!
I always loved reading reviews on products I was thinking of buying - or already bought and loved to bits - so I figured I'd post some of my own. All products were bought with my own money or gifted by loved-ones, and my reviews are completely based on my personal experiences and preferences. I'll try my best to discribe the products and their scents, but keep in mind this is still very personal - sometimes you'll just have to try to know for sure!

That been said, I hope you'll enjoy my rants and raves!
